It is with mixed emotions we announce that Jennifer Bright, MPA, will be stepping down from her position as Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer effective June 30th. Ms. Bright joined IVI in 2017 and served as the organization’s first Executive Director and then Chief Executive Officer until July 2022, when she transitioned into her current position.

Jennifer will be taking the helm of the International Consortium of Heath Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) as President effective August 2023.

“In many ways, Jenn is considered a founder of IVI, from transitioning it to a non-profit organization to expanding its research agenda and impact in the field of health technology assessment (HTA). She ensured that IVI embodied its core principles of patient-centricity, transparency, and equity in our work, and she stretched the organization to think bigger with initiatives in the areas of health equity, economic impacts, and mental health. She will be sorely missed by our leadership, entire team, and all of our partners,” stated Jason M. Spangler, MD, MPH, FACPM, Chief Executive Officer, IVI.

“It’s been a privilege and absolute pleasure to serve IVI,” said Jennifer. “I’ve been especially proud of establishing the Patient Advisory Council, launching the successful annual methods summits, working with our talented research team on the major depressive disorder model, and leading the Health Equity Initiative. Through all those endeavors, I’ve worked with passionate change agents in all sectors of health care, who gravitated to IVI because of our authenticity, our courage to challenge the status quo, and the power of our convening. I look forward to watching Jason and the entire team further IVI’s impact on the science and practice of HTA.”

We thank Jennifer for the dedication, passion, and motivation she has given IVI over the past six years. We look forward to following the success and leadership that she will bring to ICHOM.
